JOHN O'SHEA

JOHN O'SHEA

Meet John

A Greek at heart, John O’ Shea hails from Northern Ireland, holding both UK and NI citizenship. With a strong teaching background in European, Labour, Environmental and Company Law at various UK Universities, John has been actively involved in the field of translation as a freelancer, tutor and agency owner for more than two decades. Over the years, John has accumulated the necessary academic and practical knowledge to help FIT pursue its goals and is eager to put it to work helping the voices of translators and their representative bodies be heard aloud. His hands-on experience with the industry’s issues combined with his knowledge and understanding of Northern and Southern Europe - as an LSP owner, law expert and intercultural mediator - make him the ideal candidate for the upcoming FIT Europe Board Elections.
